Help Apollo go home to his Hero in HFO’s Paws 4PTSD program!

Help Apollo help his Hero!

Please share and help HFO provide a Hero with a $30,000 fully trained and certified PTSD Service Dog, and all the start-up supplies. Funds are needed by the end of February so there are no upfront costs to our Hero. This will enable the Hero to focus on their health and bonding with their new partner.

HFO is happy to introduce you to our 5th PTSD Service dog, Apollo, and our Hero, M.:

“My name is Apollo. I’m a 12 month old Australian Labradoodle, with a soft wavy fleece coat that is perfect for luv’n. I am currently 48 pounds.

I wuv people and adore children. I also wuv to snuggle, play fetch, and take car rides with my tongue hang’n in the wind (and a wittle slobber too). Most of all, I can’t wait to go to my new home and help my Hero with every day life.”

M. is an Indiana Law Enforcement Officer diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). PTSD can develop from experiencing a traumatic event or a series of traumatic events. There are numerous possible symptoms that can last anywhere from a month to years after onset.

“Prior to trauma, I was able to experience normal, happy activities that many take for granted. I am excited that I have been selected by Hero Family Outreach for their Paws 4PTSD program. My hope is that with the help of my service dog, I will be able to live life like it’s meant to be lived.”

Hero Family Outreach (HFO) is a 501c3 non-profit supporting our Military and First Responder families through programs and events geared toward reducing suicide while engaging the communities in which our Heroes live and serve.
